Great warm friendly pub, nice open fires and great good

In winter ask to sit near the fire, you'll get a table in one of the smaller rooms in the pub. Mind you, if you've got kids, you might prefer to sit in the main dining room which has a crisp decor and family friendly vibe. Competently done pub grub delivered by friendly, smiling staff.

Was appalled by my last visit that coffee and dessert we ordered took 40mins. Told I would be refunded, when I enquired about this refund the manager was completely rude! He continually interrupted me by saying 'we're not giving a refund' whilst I was trying to explain our situation. Used to be amazing, but given the poor managerial staff on board now, will NOT be returning. End of my trip ruined by a fat dumpy troll of a man who will clearly amount to nothing given his poor attitude.
